Pakistan: PDM leaders meet in Lahore to discuss future course of action against Imran Khan govt

Islamabad: Pakistan's major opposition alliance Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leaders met at Jati Umra in Lahore city to make final decisions regarding the future course of action of their anti-government campaign.

The 11-party Opposition alliance is deliberating upon en masse resignations from the assemblies and contesting the Senate elections and by-polls. The meeting has assumed significance after the PPP decided to take part in the election process, Geo News reported.

The meeting is chaired by PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

It is also attended by senior leaders Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto via video links.

PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz, Pervaiz Raheed, Ayaz Sadiq, and Khawaja Saad Rafique are also in attendance. The PPP leaders who are present at the meeting include Yousuf Raza Gilani, Qamar Zaman Kaira and Farahatullah Babar, reports Geo News.

Pakistan has been witnessing a series of anti-government rallies by PDM leaders in different corners of the country in recent times
