Islamabad: Senior leaders of the key alliance Pakistan Democratic Movement assembled in Larkana region of the country on Sunday to mark the 13th death anniversary of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

The alliance also asked PM Imran Khan to step down.

PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was quoted as saying by Geo News that if by January 31, the premier does not resign, the jiyalas (party loyalists) will march down to the capital and "drag him off his seat".

"Look at Benazir Bhutto's life, spent in the service of the people," he said.

"Benazir is alive today in the hearts of everyone, and those who clashed with her, their names are forgotten.

"Ziaul Haq's grave lies unattended, and Gen Pervez Musharraf is living a life of disgrace abroad," Bilawal was quoted as saying by Geo News.

Bilawal said that "the clouds of oppression are dispersing" and that the time for the accountability of the "criminal rulers" is near.

"If you are ready, if you are with me, no power in the world can stop us," he added.

"If the opposition alliance (PDM) calls for a long march, you have to be ready. We are on the same page and on the same stage," he said.
