Pakistan: Key opposition leader Maryam Nawaz calls Imran Khan 'psychopath'

| @indiablooms | Apr 09, 2022, at 11:16 pm

Islamabad: Pakistan's PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz on Saturday called Prime Imran Khan "psychopath" and said that such person can not be allowed to "wreak havoc and bring the entire country down".

Taking to Twitter, she said, "A maniac's fear of having to face the music has brought the entire country to a grinding halt and a complete standstill. The country of 22 crore is without a government for weeks now. This blatant violation of constitution and disregard to SC orders will be ugly and end badly.

"One person who is not in his senses anymore cannot be allowed to wreak havoc and bring the entire country down. This is not a joke. He should not be treated as PM or ex PM, he must be treated as a PSYCHOPATH who just to save his own skin is holding the entire country hostage. Shame."

This comes amid the no-trust vote that will decide Imran Khan's fate. However, the PM stayed away from the National Assembly that is set to vote on a no-trust resolution passed by the opposition after many a drama, including the top court in the country being forced to step in and order the motion be conducted before April 9 evening ends.

There is heightened security outside the house perimetres and across the city, as there is also prohibition order against any kind of congregation.
