Karachi, June 23 (IBNS) Heatwave has claimed 630 lives in Pakistan's Karachi city in the last three days, media reports said on Tuesday.

Hundreds of patients are currently undergoing treatment in different hospitals in the city.

"While the Sindh government has imposed a state of emergency at all hospitals, cancelling leave for doctors and other medical staff and increasing stocks of medical supplies, doctors have appealed that people should avoid going out in the sun unnecessarily and should wash their face multiple times a day in order to stay cool during the heatwave,"? Geo News reported.

According to reports, prolonged power outrages have increased troubles for people in the Pakistani city.
