Pakistan: Hafiz Muhammad Saeed placed under house arrest

Lahore, Jan 31 (IBNS): Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has been put under 'house arrest' by Pakistani authorities, country's media reported quoting sources within Punjab Home Department.

Saeed has been placed under house arrest at Jamia Qadsia Chauburji in Lahore, sources told Geo News.

According to media reports, four others, who have been identified as  Abdullah Ubaid, Zafar Iqbal, Abdur Rehman Abid and Qazi Kashif Niaz, have also been taken into preventive custody.

Saeed is the  2008 Mumbai attack mastermind.
