Pakistan: Gun attack leaves man, son dead

North Waziristan: A man and his son died when unidentified assailants opened fire on them in Dattakhel tehsil of North Waziristan district of Pakistan on Friday, media reports said.

According to an official report, the slain, Sharbat Khan, accompanied by his two sons, was going home in Mama Ziayarat area of Dattakhel when assailants sitting in ambush opened fire on them, reports Dawn News.

 Sharbat Khan and his son, Noshaid Khan, were killed on the spot, while his other son, Torab Khan, was injured in the incident.

The attackers fled the spot after the attack.

The victims and the injured person was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital, Miramshah.

Police are conducting an investigation into the incident after registering a case.
