Pakistan explosion kills 3

Quetta, June 24 (IBNS): At least three people were killed in an explosion which hit Almo Chowk in Pakistan's Quetta area on Friday, media reports said.

More than 20 people were injured in the explosion who were reportedly taken to nearby hospital for treatment.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police Quetta Chaudhary Manzoor was quoted as saying by Dawn News around 5 kilograms of explosives were used in the blast.

"All the victims are civilians. A major aim of terrorists is to create panic among the people," he was quoted as saying by the newspaper.
