Islamabad, Aug 6 (UNI) Pakistan Army on Tuesday backed PM Imran Khan government's rejection of India's decisions regarding Jammu and Kashmir and said it is ready to "go to any extent" in support of the Kashmiri people.

"CCC on Kashmir situation at GHQ. Forum fully supported Government’s rejection of Indian actions regarding Kashmir," Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major Gen Asif Ghafoor tweeted after a Corps Commanders meeting in Rawalpindi.

"Pakistan Army firmly stands by the Kashmiris in their just struggle to the very end. We are prepared and shall go to any extent to fulfil our obligations in this regard," Gafoor quoted Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa as saying.

On Monday, Pakistan condemned the Indian government's move to strip the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and vowed to "exercise all possible options to counter the illegal steps" taken by India.
