Karachi, July 16 (IBNS): A mishap in an amusement park in Pakistan's Karachi city left a teenager killed, media reports said on Monday.

The mishap occurred in an amusement park on the city's University Road when a swing collapsed to leave 16 others hurt.

" A 16-seater Evolution ride came thundering down late last night in Askari Park of the Old Sabzi Mandi area, killing 14-year-old Kashaf — the daughter of Abdul Samad — and wounding numerous others," reported Geo News.

The ride was closed after the mishap.

The injured people were rescued and taken to hospital for treatment.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) Dr Arif Alvi  tweeted: " I visited the injured from the Askari Amusement Park accident tragedy at Jinnah hospital and inquired about them as well as talked to the families. One child died and one person is in serious condition because of head injury. "
