Karachi, Apr 20 (IBNS): Unidentified gunmen opened fire at vehicles carrying policemen, who were guarding polio workers, leaving at least seven killed in Pakistan's Orangi Town on Wednesday, media reports said.

The attacks were carried out separately.

"The attack took place close to near Disco Mor, where gunmen attacked one of the police mobiles from the back. At least three cops were injured in the attack," Geo  News reported.

In another attack, four policemen were injured as unidentified gunmen opened fire at them near the busy Bangla Bazaar area.

All the policemen  were pronounced dead on arrival when they were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital  for treatment.

Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal told Geo News: "The policemen were on guard duty accompanying polio workers. These policemen have laid down their lives to save the polio workers.”
