One dead, one injured in Bangkok shopping mall fire

Bangkok, Apr 10 (Xinhua): At least one person died and another was severely injured after the duo jumped off from a shopping mall on fire in downtown Bangkok on Wednesday, local media Thairath reported.

A video which went viral on social media showed two men jumped off the window of the mall among thick smoke and people's screams.

Thai media Khaosod reported there would be more fatalities.

Fire broke out at 1740 hrs local time at the eighth floor of Bangkok's Central World shopping mall and the fire was extinguished at around 1810 hrs, according to the Central Group that operating the mall.
