Nawaz Sharif, daughter Maryam leaves fro London

Islamabad, Apr 18 (IBNS): Former Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif, who has been disqualified from holding any office by the Supreme Court, departed for London on Wednesday, media reports said.

He is accompanied by his daughter Maryam.

According to media reports, they are visiting London to meet Sharif's wife who is undergoing medical treatment in the city.

Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, the wife of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo, is critically ill and has been admitted to a hospital for the past few days, a family spokesperson told Geo News.

praying for her mother's recovery,  Maryam tweeted: "My mother is hospitalised again. Pls remember her in your special prayers. I know prayers can do wonders. Allah answers prayers. Thank you."

She also shared another image where Nawaz could be seen sitting inside a flight.

She said in case the court does not exempt them from appearing before it then they will return before the hearing.

"Off to London to see Ami. If exemption not granted, will return before next hearing Insha'Allah. Pls remember her in your special prayers," Maryam tweeted sharing an image of his father.

Putting the political future of ex-Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in question, country's Supreme Court earlier disqualified Nawaz Shrif for life from holding office, media reports said.

The move was made by the apex court at a time when the nation is gearing up for the general elections to be held this year.
