Mogadishu: Twin car bomb explosions close to education ministry leave 100 people dead

Mogadishu: At least 100 people died as twin car bomb blasts occured close to Somalia’s education ministry in the capital Mogadishu on Saturday.

Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud described the incident as 'cruel and cowardly'.

"Today's cruel & cowardly terrorist attack on innocent people by the morally bankrupt & criminal Al-Shabab group cannot discourage us,but will further strengthen our resolve to defeat them once & for all. Our government & brave people will continue to defend #Somalia against evil," he said.

He said terror group Al-Shabab was beind the incident.

However, no group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
