Minnesota: ISIS recruit injures eight in mass stabbing, shot dead by police

Minnesota, Sept 18 (IBNS): An ISIS recruit in guise of a security guard injured at least eight people in a mass stabbing incident inside a Minnesota mall, before he was shot dead by an off-duty police officer, media reports said.

According to witness, the attacker asked at least one victim if they were Muslims.

The incident took place at 8:15 pm on Saturday.

It took place shortly after an explosion in a New York neighbourhood, which injured at least 29 people.

The stabbing incident was owned by ISIS.

"The executor of the stabbing attacks in Minnesota yesterday was a soldier of the Islamic State and carried out the operation in response to calls to target the citizens of countries belonging to the crusader coalition," a statement from the terror outfit was released by its mouthpiece Amaq.

The victims were all rushed to a nearby hospital, where all but one was released later.
