Kabul, Dec 18 (IBNS) : A group of armed insurgents launched a coordinated attack on a training facility of the Afghan intelligence in Kabul city early on Monday.

Local Khaama Press said the attack was launched after the militants detonated explosives near the facility as they attempted to open their way into the facility.

Deputy interior ministry spokesman Nasrat Rahimi said a group of insurgents have taken positions inside a building close to the training center and clashes are still underway.

A security official earlier said some militants have taken positions inside a under construction building close to a training center of the intelligence department and are exchanging fire with the security forces.

There are no reports regarding the casualties as a result of the attack so far.
