'Mentally disturbed' man hacks to death three in Bangladesh

Dhaka, July 10 (IBNS):  A “mentally disturbed” man allegedly hacked to death three people in Bangladesh's Cumilla area, media reports said on Wednesday.

The attacker allegedly died in mob beating.

The three victims in the incident have been identified as Anwara Begum, 30, wife of one Shahalam, and their son Hanif, 8, and Nazma Begum, wife of one Nurul Islam.

Soon after the incident of killing, the alleged attacker Mokhlesur Rahman, 40, was killed in a mob beating, Mezbah Uddin, inspector (investigation) of Debidwer Police Station told The Daily Star.

Mukhleshur, a rickshaw puller by profession, was mentally ill, the police official was quoted as saying by the newspaper, adding that law enforcers are investing the matter.
