Washington, May 15 (IBNS): The First Lady of the United States of America, Melania Trump is 'doing really well' following her surgery, tweeted husband and US President Donald Trump.

Thanking all the well wishers, Trump said that his wife will be released within two or three days.

"Our great First Lady is doing really well. Will be leaving hospital in 2 or 3 days. Thank you for so much love and support!" his tweet read.

Melania has undergone surgery for a benign kidney condition at the Walter Reed Medical Centre.

According to an official spokesperson, her surgery was successful.

"The first lady looks forward to a full recovery so she can continue her work on behalf of children everywhere," Melania's spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham said in a statement.
