Washington, Nov 20 (IBNS): The U.S Secret Service arrested a man on Wednesday (EDT) after they recovered hunting rifle, dozens of rounds of ammunition and a knife inside his car, which was parked very near to White House, media reported.

According to reports, the man identified as RJ Kapheim, is being interrogated.

It has been learnt that he couldn't provide any license for his firearm, niether he did provide the interrogators satisfactory answers to their questions.

The Secret Service, who is responsible for protection of US President, First Family and the White House, has been under severe criticism recently for lapses.

Earlier, in September a Texas man armed with a knife was able to climb over a White House fence and made it deep into the executive mansion.
