A majority of likely voters in the United States view President Joe Biden as a weaker commander and chief of the US military than other recent presidents, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll conducted March 18-20.

Fifty-three percent (53%) of respondents believe that Biden is a weaker military commander in chief than most recent US presidents, the poll report said on Tuesday.

Less than one-quarter of respondents, 24%, believe Biden is a stronger military leader than other recent presidents, and 20% believe he is roughly the same, the poll report said.

The figures have only changed slightly since April 2022, the poll report added.

The poll comes amid US involvement in the conflicts in Ukraine and Israel, as well as a military operation in the Red Sea.

The poll surveyed 1,114 likely US voters and maintains a margin of error of plus-or-minus three percentage points with a 95% confidence level.
