Los Angeles schools closed over 'threat': Report

| | Dec 16, 2015, at 03:24 am
Los Angeles, Dec 15 (IBNS) All Los Angeles Unified School District campuses have been closed down by officials following threats of violence, media reports said on Tuesday.
"Authorities said they plan a search operation of all of the LAUSD's more than 900 schools," Los Angeles Times reported.

“I think it’s important to take this precaution based on what has happened recently and what has happened in the past,” LAUSD Superintendent Ramon Cortines  was quoted as saying by the Los Angeles Times.

The threat came two weeks after three heavily armed men opened fire at a social services centre for the disabled in California's San Bernardino which killed 14 people.
