London fire: 58 presumed dead

London, June 17 (IBNS): The police have presumed that the 58 people missing in the London fire incident as dead.

The police said the number of deaths in the incident may increase.

Metropolitan Police Commander Stuart Cundy later clarified that the number of people confirmed dead is 30, but another 28 remain missing and are presumed dead,CNN reported.

British Prime Minister Theresa May, meanwhile, met the victims volunteers and community leaders here at the Downing Street.

She faced protests on Friday when she had visited the North Kensington estate.

Fire broke out Grenfell Tower  in London on Wednesday.

Grenfell Tower, which built in 1974, was recently refurbished at a cost of £8.6 million, with work completed in May last year.
