Nairobi/Xinhua/UNI: Kenya on Wednesday confirmed three more COVID-19 cases, bringing the number of confirmed cases in the country to seven.

Health Cabinet Secretary of Kenya Mutahi Kagwe told journalists in Nairobi that there has been no local transmission so far.

The three new cases were a couple who traveled from Madrid, Spain, on March 4 through Dubai, arriving in Kenya on March 5, and a Burundian who traveled from Dubai and arrived in Kenya on March 17, Kagwe said.

The Burundian case was picked by the Kenyan surveillance team at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, he said.

Kenya reported its first confirmed COVID-19 case on March 13.
