Israel: Hundreds evacuated as forest fires reach city
Jerusalem, Nov 24 (IBNS): At least over a hundred people have been evacuated by rescue workers in Israel as forest fires reach the city, reports said.
The three-day-old fire has forced a temporary shutdown of a major part of the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv highway, the BBC reported.
Though a lawmaker was quoted as saying that he suspects an arson, police are yet to confirm the reports.
No death has been reported so far, however, 35 people have received treatment for smoke inhalation.
