ISIS releases second video of British hostage
London, Sept 23 (IBNS): The Islamic State militants in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) on Tuesday released a second video of British freelance photographer John Cantlie in less than a week.
Cantlie, who is a hostage, is once again seen wearing the orange dress.
The latest video released in YouTube, which lasts for almost six minutes, follows a similar pattern to the first video featuring the journalist.
It is introduced with the title "Lend Me Your Ears and Messages From The British Detainee John Cantlie: Episode 1".
Cantlie here warns that the United States and its allies are embarking on "Gulf War III".
He added that: "Not since Vietnam have we witnessed such a potential mess in the making."
This time the journalist reads out from a pre-prepared script.
He said Western governments "were caught napping by the sheer speed of the Islamic State's growth" and they have underestimated "the strength and fighting zeal of the opponent."
"Current estimates of 15,000 troops needed to fight the Islamic State are laughably low. The State has more mujahideen than this. And this is not some undisciplined outfit with a few Kalashnikovs," Cantlie said in the video.
Cantlie has been held captive by the militants for second time.
Having been kidnapped in July 2012 for a week, he escaped with the help from the Free Syrian Army.
He returned to Syria towards the end of 2012 and it was during this trip that he was kidnapped for the second time.
The ISIS has already killed three hostages with the last being British aid worker David Haines.
Earlier, two US journalists were murdered in a similar circumstances.
