HQ Trivia co-founder Colin Kroll found dead in New York apartment

New York, Dec 17 (IBNS):  The co-founder of the popular app HQ Trivia, Colin Kroll,  was found dead at his residence in New York city on Sunday, media reports said.

He was 34.

Police found Kroll in the bedroom of his New York apartment, after Kroll's girlfriend called the New York Police Department asking for a wellness check, a law enforcement source told CNN.

Reacting to the death of Colin Kroll, who is also the co-founder of the video platform Vine, HQ Trivia tweeted: "We learned today of the passing of our friend and founder, Colin Kroll, and it's with deep sadness that we say goodbye. Our thoughts go out to his family, friends and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time."

HQ Trivia is a popular live trivia game on mobiles.

Kroll had co-founded HQ Trivia with Rus Yusupov.

Rus posted on Twitter: "So sad to hear about the passing of my friend and co-founder Colin Kroll. My thoughts & prayers go out to his loved ones. I will forever remember him for his kind soul and big heart. He made the world and internet a better place. Rest in peace, brother."
