Hong Kong crisis: Leung refuses to resign

Hong Kong, Oct 2 (IBNS) Amid demands for CY Leung's resignation, the Hong Kong's Chief Executive on Thursday said he will not step down from his post.

The pro-democracy protesters are demanding for his resignation.

"The protesters are angry at China's plan to vet candidates for elections in 2017, and say they want full democracy," BBC reported.

According to reports, the protesters, who have set  Leung time till midnight to resign from his post, have surrounded two key government buildings in the territory.

Speaking to reporters, Leung said: "I will not resign."
