The minority Hindu community of Pakistan recently demonstrated outside the Jhuddo press club in Pakistan over police failure to arrest an audacious gang of thieves who, they said, had thrice committed theft in Shiv Mahadev temple over the past one and a half months.

The protesters were seen holding placards and banners while demonstrating in the city.

Raising slogans against the cops, the protesters told media that they had reported to police that an unknown gang of thieves had thrice committed theft after breaking open locks on the temple and taken away gold ornaments, valuables and antique items.

They had made several complaints but police had not taken notice of the crime so far, they told Dawn News.

They demanded Mirpurkhas DIG and SSP to ensure that the stolen items were recovered.

They also urged the police that the criminals behind the crime are arrested and punishedl.
