Kabul, Nov 12 (IBNS): Hezb-e-Islami leader Gulbuddin Hekmatyar has urged the newly elected US President Donald Trump to withdraw the US forces from Afghanistan, reports said.

Hakmatyar reportedly made the request in a letter following Trump's victory over rival Hillary Clinton, local Khaama Press reported.

He has asked the US President to move the troops and allow Afghanistan to hold a free and fair election to elect its leader.

The Hezb-e-Islami leader has also slammed the US troops for the civilian casualties, which has taken place following several US raids, both ground and air.
