Fire breaks out at a building located close to Kabul airport

Kabul, Feb 25 (IBNS): A fire has broke out at a building of an organization affiliated with the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) in Kabul city, media reports said on Monday.

Police spokesman Basir Mujahid told Pajhwok Afghan News the fire erupted near the Hawa Shanasi area close to the Hamid Karzai airport in the limits of 9th police District.

He told the Afghanistan-based news agency that the fire triggered by a short circuit and reached an oil tanker which caused financial losses.

Police and fire tenders reached the spot later.
