Explosion rocks Save The Children office in Afghanistan, 11 injured

Kabul, Jan 24 (IBNS) : A huge  explosion  struck outside the office of international aid group Save the Children in Jalalabad city, the provincial capital of eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan on Wednesday, media reports said.

At least 11 people were reportedly  wounded in the blast that was caused by a car bomber outside the headquarters of the NGO.

According to Aljazeera, clashes between security forces and armed attackers are ongoing.

A number of people are believed to be trapped inside the building, Tolo news said.

Al Jazeera said two attackers are thought to have entered the NGO's office, adding that special forces and ambulances have arrived on the scene.
