Explosion at Sinochem Chemical Plant claims five lives in China's Shandong province

Beijing/IBNS: An explosion at a Sinochem chemical facility in eastern China resulted in the deaths of five individuals, one person going missing, and another person being injured, media reports stated on Monday.

Liaocheng High-tech Zone Management Committee stated that an explosion took place on Monday morning at the hydrogen peroxide production section of Luxi Chemical in the city of Liaocheng located in Shandong province, reported Reuters.

As per the committee's announcement, the fire has been put out, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident.
