Seoul/IBNS: Ending all speculation over his health, North Korea leader Kim Jong Un has made his first public appearance, media reports said.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un attended a fertilizer factory completion ceremony, state media reported Saturday, his first public appearance after 20 days of absence that sparked rumors about his health, South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reported.

The official Korean Central News Agency reported that Kim cut the tape at the ceremony marking the completion of Sunchon Phosphatic Fertilizer Factory in Sunchon, north of Pyongyang, on Friday, reported the news agency.

Photos released by KCNA showed Kim, dressed in a dark Mao suit, cutting the red ribbon during the ceremony and talking to accompanying officials with a smile on his face. They did not show any signs of an illness, reported Yonhap.

The photos show no visible signs of any serious disease.

His previous appearance took place on April 12. After media reports about Kim's surgery, some news outlets reported about the leader's death.
