Earthquake shakes Greece, Turkey, above 100 injured

Alexandroupolis, Greece, May 24 (IBNS): More than 100 people were injured in Turkey as an earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale hit south-southwest of Alexandroupolis city in Greece on Saturday, media reports said.

The epicentre of the quake was located at latitude 40.30 degee north and longitude  25.45 degree east, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) website said.

The quake also shook  western Turkey.

According to reports, more than 100 people were injured in Turkey.
