Lahore, Pakistan: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said "dirty politics" kept the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) non-operational for the past two years.

As per Radio Pakistan's report, he made the remark while inaugurating the Saleem Memorial Trust Hospital in Lahore on Sunday.

He expressed regret over the mismanagement of the great social welfare project, Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute during the previous government's tenure, reports Radio Pakistan.

Shehbaz Sharif took oath as Pakistan's new PM recently.

He came to power after Imran Khan was ousted from power following his defeat in a non-confidence vote brought against him.
