Cairo, Dec 8 (IBNS): Egyptian authority has started investigating a Danish couple after they allegedly climbed to the summit of the Great Khufu Pyramid of Giza and then posed naked, media reports said.

"The three-minute video recorded at night shows a man and a woman scaling what appears to be the Great Pyramid of Giza with the skyline of Cairo in the background. When they reach the top, the video shows the woman taking off her shirt and finishes with a still image of them in a naked embrace," CNN reported.

As per Egypt's Ahram Online report, country's Antiquities Minister Khaled El-Anany filed on Friday a memo with the prosecutor-general to investigate a short viral clip showing a Danish couple illegally climbing to the top of the Great Pyramid of Giza and posing naked for pictures.

The ministry said it has started probing the incident.

As per Ahram Online, the video was uploaded to YouTube on 5 December by self-described Danish photographer Andreas Hvid

Climbing pyramid is punishable by law in the country.
