Crane collapses in Mosque in Mecca, 65 killed

Mecca, Sept 11 (IBNS): At least 65 people died after a crane collapsed at a mosque in the Muslim holy city of Mecca, media reports said.

The collapse at the the Grand Mosque also left eighty people injured, Saudi Arabia's civil defence authority tweeted.

The accident comes when Mecca is preparing for the annual Muslim Hajj pilgrimage.

Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to arrive in the Saudi city from all over the world later this month for Hajj pilgrimage.
