London/IBNS: Several world leaders wished British PM Boris Johnson as he was admitted to the intensive care unit after his coronavirus symptoms worsened.

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau tweeted: "Sending my best wishes to Prime Minister @BorisJohnson  for a full and speedy recovery. My thoughts are with you and your family right now. Hope to see you back at Number 10 soon. "

Ex-British PM David Cameron said: "Thinking of @BorisJohnson  and his family tonight. Get well soon. You are in great hands and we all want you safe, well and back in @10DowningStreet."

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wished the British leader a speedy recovery.

"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the People of Israel pray for the speedy and full recovery of our friend British Prime Minister @BorisJohnson," the official Twitter page of the PM Of Israel posted.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who has tested positive for Covid-19, has been shifted to the intensive care unit of the hospital after his condition worsened, the Downing Street has said. He was admitted to hospital yesterday.

A statement by the No 10 Downing Street said: "Since Sunday evening, the prime minister has been under the care of doctors at St Thomas' Hospital, in London, after being admitted with persistent symptoms of coronavirus. Over the course of this afternoon, the condition of the prime minister has worsened and, on the advice of his medical team, he has been moved to the intensive care unit at the hospital."

"The PM is receiving excellent care, and thanks all NHS staff for their hard work and dedication," the statement read.

Ten days after he was tested positive for COVID-19, British PM Boris Johnson was hospitalised for tests yesterday.

The Downing Street had said the step was taken as a 'precautionary measure'.

Johnson was tested positive for novel coronavirus on March 27 and was since then, self-isolating in Downing Street.
