Costa Rica rocked by 6.5M quake

San Jose, Nov 13 (IBNS): A 6.5 magnitude earthquake struck Costa Rica on Sunday night, reports said.

No loss of life has been reported though.

According to the US Geological Survey, the epicentre was located 16 kilometres west of Jaco, at a depth of 10 kilometres.

However, the Universidad Nacional Costa Rica said the earthquake measured 6.9.

Tweeting about the incident, Costra Rican President Luis Guillermo Solís said that a tsunami warning has not been issued.

The Costa Rican Police have urged people to stay calm.
