China: 5 killed in mine mishap
Beijing, May 25 (IBNS): At least five people died and four others went missing after a colliery gas burst at a mine in China's Guizhou Province, media reports said on Sunday.
"The accident happened at about 3:51 p.m. at the state-owned Yushe Coal Mine in Shuicheng County," China's Xinhua news agency reported.
As many as 231 people, out of the 240, who were working underground managed to escape after the mishap occurred.
Rescuers are searching for the missing people.
