Chicago, Nov 3 (IBNS): One man was killed and two, including a 12-year-old boy, were critically wounded after an unidentified gunman open fired at them inside a Starbucks store in Chicago's Uptown area, reports said.

The wounded victims were moved to a nearby facility.

The incident unfolded at around 8 pm and witnesses were quoted by the local Chicago Sun-Times as saying that the attacker was wearing a ski mask and chased a '28-year-old man into the Starbucks at 4753 N. Broadway and shot him.'

He was declared brought dead after they rushed him to a nearby clinic.

The other two victims have been identified as a 12-year-old boy and a 24-year-old man.

Reports said that the boy sustained a bullet wound around his groin area, while the other victim was shot in the abdomen.

According to Town Hall District Cmdr. Marc Buslik, this was not a random act and may have been triggered by a drug deal.
