Ottawa, Aug 6 (IBNS): A "suspicious" fire has engulfed a house in Ottawa's south end on Monday early morning, media reports said.

Ottawa Fire Services received a call at 4:36 am.

No injury has been reported. No one was present in the house at the time the fire broke out.

Police said Ottawa police arson unit is investigating the fire and considered it as "suspicious".

The three-bedroom flat was owned by Rodney Basquin five years ago.

Rodney had started renting his flat one year ago.

Last week, he had rented but the guests were out on Saturday morning.

Rodney told CBC News, "It's my heart... It's that house I worked so hard in it."

"All the people that lives on the road, they know how much I loved it."
