Boris Johnson gets COVID-19 booster shot

| @indiablooms | Dec 03, 2021, at 03:16 pm

London: UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has received his COVID-19 vaccine shot and urged people to get themselves the same.

"I’ve just got my booster jab from the brilliant @GSTTnhs team," Boris tweeted.

" When your turn comes, get your booster and ask your friends and family to do the same. Let’s not give the virus a second chance," he said.

Boris also shared a video where he could be seen receiving a booster shot of the vaccine.

Johnson survived the coronavirus infection in April 2020 and took the first shot of the AstraZeneca vaccine on March 19, the second shot on June 3.

Earlier, the prime minister stated that revaccination will supposedly decrease the chance of developing severe symptoms in case of infection with the new Omicron strain.

Amid the spread of the Omicron coronavirus strain, the United Kingdom decided to revaccinate citizens every three months instead of six months after the first vaccination.
