Bangladesh: Two suspected Neo JMB terrorists killed during raid

Dhaka, Oct 16 (IBNS): During a security raid in a suspected terrorist hideout, two people were killed in Bangladesh's  Narsingdi Sadar upazila on Tuesday, media reports said.

The deceased people are suspected to be members of banned militant outfit “Neo-JMB”.

The bodies of a male and a female were recovered from the hideout on the fourth floor of a five-storey building, Monirul Islam, chief of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, was quoted as saying by The Daily Star newspaper of the country on the spot after ending the operation this afternoon.

At least four bombs exploded inside the hideout, he said.

Security officials had cordoned off the house since Monday night.
