Dhaka, July 1 (IBNS): Police have arrested a school headmaster in Dhaka’s Kamrangirchar area for allegedly raping a student, media reports said.

The headmaster has been identified as Sirajul Islam.

He is the headmaster of Dhaka Model School at Alinagar.

He was arrested at Nabinagar shortly after the alleged victim’s mother initiated a case against him on Saturday night, Kamrangirchar Police Station OC Shahin Fakir told bdnews24.

Sirajul raped the girl, a grade-nine student, several times by threatening to cut her grade points deliberately, the OC told the news portal, referring to the charges brought against the headmaster.

As per the case, the teacher raped the girl for the last time on June 24, media reports said.
