Bangladesh: RAB officials arrest banned terrorist outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir member from Dhaka

Dhaka: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested a member of banned terrorist outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir from Kamrangirchar area of Dhaka, media reports said on Monday.

The arrested person was identified as  Nafiz Salam Uday.

He is an active member of “Dawat” and the finance department of the banned militant outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir, reports UNB.

Tipped off, a special team of the Anti-Terrorism Cell of RAB-2 conducted a drive at  Kamrangirchar on Sunday noon and arrested Nafiz, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Md Fazlul Haque, senior additional director (Media) of RAB-2 told UNB.

There are three cases against the person at Mohammadpur and Adabar police stations and a police assault case at Mohammadpur police station.
