Bangladesh PM calls her meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping 'fruitful'

Dhaka, Oct 14 (IBNS): Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday said her meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping was 'fruitful'.

"I had a fruitful discussion with his Excellency Xi on bilateral, regional and international issues that are of common interest to both our countries," Hasina was quoted as saying to the media by The Daily Star.

"Through signing the agreements, we reached a consensus to work together in trade and investment and other key areas such as infrastructure, agriculture, energy and power, ICT and transportation," the Prime Minister said.

Xi Jinping is currently visiting Bangladesh.

At the presence of the two leaders, 26 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and instruments and the unveiling of plaques of six projects were held.
