Bangladesh: Female member of terror outfit 'Ansar al-Islam’ arrested

Dhaka: Bangladesh security forces have arrested a female member of a banned terror outfit 'Ansar al-Islam’.

The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police conducted a drive and arrested her from the Badda area of the capital on Thursday, bdnews24 reported.

The arrested person was identified as Jobaida Siddika Nabila.

. A mobile phone with a SIM card and a memory card was also seized from her possession, reported the news portal.

Additional Police Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman, chief of the CTTC told bdnews24 she was the first female Ansar al-Islam militant who had been arrested.
