Bangladesh: COVID-19 positive cases touch 1000 mark

Dhaka/IBNS: Surging ahead with the progression of days, the number of COVID-19 cases in Bangladesh have touched 1000 mark.

As many as 201 people tested positive for the disease in the past 24 hours.

Seven more died from the disease during that period, bringing the death toll to 46, Nasima Sultana, additional director general of the health directorate, said on Tuesday, reported bdnews24.

The first COVID-19 positive case in Bangladesh had emerged on Mar 8.

Now, 1012 people are currently infected by the disease in the south Asian nation.
