Armed men kill American University of Afghanistan student in Kabul

Kabul/IBNS: Unknown men killed a third-year student of the American University of Afghanistan (AUOA) in Kabul city of Afghanistan on Saturday, media reports said on Monday.

The deceased person was identified as 22-year-old Ali Sina Zafari.

The student was reportedly attacked after he showed resistance to hand over his personal computer and laptop to the armed men.

Ali Sina Zafari’s close relatives say that the horrifying incident occurred around 8:30 PM, while Zafari was on his way home, reported Khaama Press.

The 22-year-old studied Journalism at the American University of Afghanistan.

No group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.

Ferdaws Faramarz, the Kabul police spokesperson, told Khaama Press that police efforts are underway to arrest the perpetrators of the killing and deal with them accordingly.
