After Grant Wahl, another journalist dies while covering WC in Qatar

Doha: Another journalist has died while covering the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Gulf Times reported: "Al Kass TV photojournalist Khalid al-Misslam passed away recently. Al- Misslam, a Qatari, died suddenly while covering the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022."

Al-Misslam was covering the mega football event for  Qatari news channel Al Kass TV.

The cause of his death is still not clear.

Recently, American soccer journalist Grant Wahl also passed away while covering the football event.He was 48.

Wahl, who was covering the last-eight stage match between Argentina and Netherlands,was running his own sporting news subscription service after working for Sports Illustrated.

He collapsed at Lusail Iconic Stadium.

He was rushed to the hospital.

It’s unclear whether he died at the hospital or in transport, reports Daily Telegraph.

His brother  Eric, however, believes there was foul play behind his death.
